| Why is there a strong odor and/or light smoke when I turn on my wall oven?
If your wall oven is new, this is normal during the first few times you use it. If your oven has a self-cleaning feature, running it will help burn off the smells more quickly. Turning on your ventilation fan will help remove smoke and odors during the cycle.
If you've had your oven for a while, check the bottom for food soils, which can cause odors or even light smoke when the oven heats up. If you find them, cleaning the oven will probably solve the problem.
